Chris Latreille Celebrates 16 Years at Ryan Biggs | Clark Davis
Chris Latreille is celebrating his 16th anniversary at Ryan Biggs | Clark Davis this month. As a Principal Associate, Chris manages many of the firm’s projects in the educational and medical markets, as well as contractor support service projects in the Central New York region. Chris has worked on many prominent projects for the firm.
“The Biotechnology & Interdisciplinary Studies Building at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is a statement building. I enjoyed it because I was a brand new engineer,” said Chris. “I worked with Neil Weisel (which was awesome!), and I was given the chance to really contribute to the job from an early stage even though I was new to the firm. It was also great to work on a job at my alma mater literally months after graduating. That was one of a handful of projects I worked on at RPI, but Biotech is definitely the gem of the bunch. The Peggy Ryan Williams Center (Gateway) at Ithaca College is the first big project I did mostly independently in the Finger Lakes office. It was a complicated job with deep foundations, wacky geometry, and a 100-foot-long pedestrian bridge. This job played a big role in honing my engineering skills and developing my project management skills as a new PE. Binghamton University Energy R&D Building is still finishing up construction. This one stands out because of the role we played in the signature architectural features of the project. It’s a unique building and a standout for the BU campus. The Kuwait Hangar was cool primarily because we were able to do the entire job (40,000-square-foot hanger with 270-foot-span trusses) in four weeks.”
Chris is professionally licensed in New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Congratulations, Chris.
