NYC LED Displays
Recently, we have been working on several LED display projects in New York City, providing our clients with our structural engineering design services. Check out the article below in Digital Signage Connection for the project information at 1515 Broadway, where new high-resolution displays are now in use between 44th and 45th Streets. The display includes a large main screen and a ticker, both wrapping around two sides of the building’s exterior. We were hired by Sensory Interactive and worked with SNA Displays to design the support frame for the two displays and also design the connections from the support frame to the stubs.
We also worked with SNA on the 701 7th Avenue LED digital display sign, which wraps around the west and south facades of the building along 7th Avenue and 47th Street. We provided services to develop steel trusses composed of rectangular HSS members that tie into the building structure. The LED extends from just under 30 feet above sidewalk level to approximately 120 feet above sidewalk level and extends out 8 feet from the face of the building. Below is a link to a video that features a rendering of the LED video screen at the beginning of the video.
