The firm has designed, rehabilitated, inspected, and analyzed dozens of bridges throughout New York State and the northeastern United States. We have extensive experience managing and designing Phase I-VI projects for the New York State Department of Transportation and for various towns and counties. These projects require careful coordination with many agencies including adjoining counties, town governments, local citizens’ groups, SHPO, NYSDEC, US Department of the Interior, and utility companies. We are intimately familiar with the rules, regulations, and procedures required to progress bridge projects from conception to completion. The firm has considerable experience with projects involving the stabilization, repair, and restoration of historic bridges. We have rehabilitated wrought iron trusses, timber covered bridges, and arches, both concrete and masonry. Many of these bridges are listed on historic register lists. We routinely moderate public information meetings and believe that close and constant communication with the community is crucial so that all parties are part of the process and will be satisfied with the final outcome. We utilize new concepts in design and construction materials wherever appropriate. We keep our designs simple, practical, and cost-effective to meet the needs of our clients.
