Public Health Lab Topping-Off Ceremony and SWE Tour
The topping-off ceremony at the New York State Public Health Laboratory on the Harriman State Office Campus in Albany, marked the placement of the final structural steel beam for the new five-story, 663,000-square-foot facility.
Once complete, the $1.7 billion project will bring laboratory operations together under one roof, supporting critical public health research and testing across New York State. Following the ceremony, members of our team joined NYS Capital District Chapter of the Society of Women Engineers for a site visit to learn more about this exciting project and its progress. SWE supports women in engineering through networking, professional development, and outreach. We’re proud to see this transformative project take shape and look forward to seeing what’s ahead!
