The Adelphi Hotel in Saratoga Springs is a four-story, wood-framed structure with brick bearing walls.

Constructed in 1877, the distinguishing Italianate Façade rises four stories above street level with slender columns that are capped with Victorian fretwork. There is a 90-foot “piazza” on the second floor overlooking Saratoga’s historic Broadway.

Ryan Biggs | Clark Davis provided the structural engineering services for the project, which involves a complete historic renovation of the interior space, including the removal and replacement of a large portion of the first floor with concrete slab on deck, and a four-story addition on the rear of the building.

We also provided structural design for modifications to the building to hold the newly opened Salt & Char Steakhouse.
