Ryan Biggs | Clark Davis provided the structural design for the new $93 million Life Sciences Center on the campus of Dartmouth College. The new steel-framed facility is 174,000 square feet and holds the college’s biological sciences department dedicated to researching ways to save and improve lives.
The cutting-edge facility houses wet laboratories, faculty offices, conference rooms, lounges, a 200-seat theater-style classroom, two 80-seat amphitheater classrooms, a 6,000-square-foot greenhouse, and teaching laboratories. Vibration analysis and design were considered for sensitive floor areas.
The project received LEED Platinum status from the United States Green Building Council.
