Courtyard by Marriott in Downtown Troy Opens
The new Courtyard by Marriott hotel in downtown Troy officially opened last week with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Ryan Biggs | Clark Davis provided structural engineering services for the $18.66 million hotel.
The five-story, 75,000-square-foot hotel hosts 132 rooms and a partial basement. The hotel was constructed on a sloping site adjacent to the Hudson River. The main lobby, support space, restaurant, meeting rooms, and fitness area are located on the first floor, and the Courtyard rooms are located on the second through fifth floors. The building features an elevated exterior patio extending from the first floor overlooking the river. The partial basement space provides access from the lower parking lot. The building is supported on driven steel H-piles. Congratulations to the entire project team on a successful and exciting project.
