Staff Promotions
We are proud to announce several promotions in the firm. Chris Latreille, P.E., has been promoted to Principal; John Pillar, P.E., S.E., to Senior Engineer; and Chad Reinemann, P.E., LEED AP, to Associate.
With the firm since 2001, Chris Latreille, P.E., has been promoted to Principal. Chris manages many of the firm’s structural design projects in the educational, healthcare, and construction support markets. Chris earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, National Society of Professional Engineers, American Institute of Steel Construction, and Chi Epsilon. He is the current Vice President of the Central New York Chapter of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) and served as President for three years. He also sits on the Cold Weather Committee 306 of ACI. Chris serves as the Chair of the Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Advisory Board at RPI. Chris served as Project Manager of structural design of the Smart Energy Research and Development Facility at Binghamton University, the Peggy Ryan Williams Center at Ithaca College; and the Educational Opportunity Center at the University at Buffalo. He has also provided the structural design of several additions at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca and the new addition at Highland Hospital in Rochester. He is currently designing the Clinical Lab addition on Bailey Road for the University of Rochester and the Corinth Wastewater Treatment Plant in the Village of Corinth. He holds Professional Engineering licenses in New York, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin and works in the Skaneateles Falls office.
John Pillar, P.E., S.E., has been promoted to Senior Engineer. John has been with the firm since 2012 and provides structural engineering design on many of the firm’s new building projects in the educational, commercial, and medical markets. John earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from The Pennsylvania State University. John is a member of the American Concrete Institute and currently serves as the President of the Central New York Chapter, previously serving as Vice President and Director. John provided the structural design of the new Health & Wellness Center on the Alfred University campus and the Natural Science Center at Broome Community College, and several design and renovation projects for the Liverpool Central School District. He is currently designing the Academic Success Building at SUNY Brockport, the Alumni House and Visitors Center at SUNY Buffalo, and the new Health and Wellness Center at SUNY Upstate. John works in the Skaneateles Falls office and services many of our clients in the Ithaca region. He holds Professional Engineering licenses in New York and Virginia and an SE license in Illinois.
With the firm since 2011, Chad is a senior-level structural engineer in the Capital District office and provides the design and management on many of the firm’s historic preservation and masonry restoration projects. Chad earned his Bachelor’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and is a member of the Association for Preservation Technology Northeast Chapter and the United States Green Building Council, Upstate New York Chapter. Chad served as Project Engineer for the restoration of the Grand Staircase connecting the Empire State Plaza to the Cultural Education Center, which crosses over Madison Avenue in Albany, and on the Canfield Casino Ballroom Roof Reinforcing and Ceiling Stabilization in Saratoga Springs. He is currently providing structural engineering services for the rehabilitation and masonry restoration projects at Emma Willard School in Troy, the Bank of Richmondville, and Gloversville Library. Chad is a professional engineer licensed in New York and is a LEED-Accredited Professional.
