Statue of Liberty Project

Ryan Biggs | Clark Davis is working with Allegrone Masonry, Inc., who is performing restoration of portions of the masonry walls and elements at the base of the Statue of Liberty.

The restoration work is underway at the Terreplein Level, about 25-feet above the main level of the island, so access for construction materials is limited.  We designed a temporary equipment ramp to provide improved access for transportation of materials up to and down from the Terreplein Level; Safespan Scaffolding provided the ramp’s materials and installation support.  The ramp is an independent structure that does not bear on any of the existing historic walls on the site. #historicpreservation #contractorsupportservices #structuralengineering #specialtystructures
