RBCD Rewind: The Connection
In 1992, we launched our first external newsletter The RBA Connection to mark our upcoming 20th anniversary.
The newsletter was printed (on a printing press!), was self-stamped, walked to the post office, and sent to hundreds of loyal clients to keep them informed of our work and our people. We shared Tech Notes to spread expertise on frequently asked questions about the field, our projects, and common structural engineering issues. Today, we have transitioned this newsletter to an electronic format and continue to share much of our news through our website and social media channels at the click of a button. Although the medium and the look have changed a lot in the 30 years since we sent out that first edition, The Connection provided the framework for our current communications.
