Meera Ramesh Presents for ACI Central New York Chapter

Meera Ramesh, PhD, Restoration Engineer at Ryan Biggs Clark Davis, presented “Mortars for Restoration Projects” for the Central New York Chapter of the American Concrete Institute.

The presentation discussed parameters in addition to compressive strength that must be considered when designing a mortar for a restoration project, focusing on compatibility between the substrate and mortar, and breathability. Meera also provided a guide to documentation and assessment of existing mortars on site, as well as field techniques.
