ACEC NY Winter Conference

Meera Ramesh, PhD, PE, a Professional Engineer at Ryan Biggs Clark Davis, is speaking at the American Council of Engineering Companies of New York Winter Conference this Sunday. 

Meera’s presentation, "Masonry Scapegoat - Structural Investigation Reveals the True Culprit?" unveils the misconceptions surrounding masonry viability, examining three case studies of historic structures. She will explore the interplay between non-masonry elements and masonry distress, revealing how poor design, not inherent masonry failure, triggers issues in buildings ranging from a 19th-century chapel tower to a 1940s stone church and a brick bearing structure. The ACEC NY Winter Conference “Creating Alignment to Deliver Infrastructure In a Time of Unprecedented Need” is being held at the Albany Capital Center.
