2025 Capital Region Canstruction Competition

Ryan Biggs Clark Davis proudly participated in the 2025 Capital Region Canstruction competition, led by captains Maddy Osborn and Alicia Moss

Our team came together to fundraise, design, and build a 7,415-can structure, which, after the exhibit, will be donated to The Food Pantries. This coalition, consisting of nearly 70 food pantries across Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga, and Schenectady Counties, serves as our valued beneficiary.

RBCD was one of twelve teams to CANstruct builds around the theme Lights CANmera Action. Our structure, A Film Reel, tells a story of heart, humor, and hunger-fighting heroics. It was built on the belief that even the smallest roles CAN create lasting impacts. We understand that struggles like hunger often go unseen, kindness carries more weight than we realize, and no one CAN change the world alone. But together—layer by layer, laugh by laugh, CAN by CAN—we are rewriting the script for a fuller future for people living in the Capital Region.

We are thrilled to share that RBCD took home the 2025 Capital Region Canstruction Most Cans and Best Meal awards. The Best Meal is awarded to the team that designs a CANstructure using the most diverse variety of items from the Food Pantries' Items in Need list.Our structure is currently on display at Crossgates Mall until May 19th.
