Ryan Biggs | Clark Davis provided structural design services for a $35 million project involving additions and renovations to Port Chester High School.
The project involved a 14,000-quare-foot, one-story gymnasium addition with a flat, long-span steel trusses roof structure, and a 36,0000-square-foot, two-story classroom addition elevated above a parking lot at ground level. The classroom addition consists of two separate classroom areas connected by a narrow, two-story corridor. The addition connects to the existing high school in two locations. Alterations to the existing high school include design for the installation of an interior elevator to access a fitness room on the second level. The school was originally constructed in 1929.
