Ryan Biggs Clark Davis provided the structural design for the new boat storage facility at Hamilton College.

The scope included design of a one-story, rectangular wood-framed structure with a footprint of approximately 3600 square feet. The superstructure is supported by glu-laminated wood frames with a wood roof deck and wood-framed shear walls. The new storage facility includes an area for boat and oar storage, office, bathrooms, tool storage, meeting room, and an operations area.

The boathouse is located on the Erie Canal in Rome’s Bellamy Harbor Park and used by the Division III Hamilton College Men’s and Women’s Rowing Teams. The approximate construction cost was $2 million.
