Ryan Biggs | Clark Davis provided the structural design for the $56 million renovation and addition project at Troy Middle School for the Enlarged City School District of Troy.

Renovations were made at the original 1970s Doyle Middle School and involved the complete gutting of the original buildings with major changes to interior spaces that required structural modifications to the framing.

The original building also had problems with settlement due to poor soils. Modifications to the original foundations were made with the use of micropiles in many locations of the building.

The new facility includes 42 fully reconstructed state-of-the-art classrooms, 16 new windowed classrooms, new computer labs/science labs/art rooms, two new courtyards, modernized media center/auditorium, and an expanded cafeteria.
