Ryan Biggs Clark Davis provided structural engineering design, bid, and construction phase services for the new $5 million Library and Learning Center. The 9,230-square-foot building is two-stories and houses a central repository for the 4,000+ collected works of the current and previous Dalai Lamas. The center serves as an educational and cultural institution for the promotion of human values and a lasting resource where people from all over the world and from all walks of life can study and practice the teachings of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The design incorporates traditional Tibetan Buddhist architecture with contemporary design and materials.
